About Dr. Horn

Background

Dr. Horn is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon with a focus on shoulder and elbow reconstructive surgery.  He is interested in all aspects of orthopedic care.  As a native Hoosier, he attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and was a 3 year varsity letterman playing football for the Tigers. He attended medical school at Midwestern University and attended residency at Michigan State University.  His residency taught him proficiency in orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, and knee and hip arthroplasty.  After residency, he attended the competitive and high volume fellowship with Dr. Jonathan Levy.  During fellowship, he became skilled in complex shoulder and elbow arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and fracture management.  He was also actively involved in research and coauthored over ten peer reviewed papers and one book chapter during the twelve months of fellowship.

Dr. Horn has joined Witham Orthopaedic Associates and enjoys helping patients with a spectrum of orthopedic care, ranging from conservative treatment options to complex primary and revision surgical options.  His practice evaluates acute sports related injuries as well as degenerative and traumatic conditions.  The procedures that he performs include total shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic instability procedures, arthroscopic bicep tenodesis, and fracture related care of the shoulder and elbow.  He is also skilled in hip and knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and lower extremity fracture care.

Dr. Horn recognizes the challenges faced by immobility including pain and the inability to perform every day tasks.  To him, returning function and maintaining a high level of activity is the utmost goal of any treatment plan.  He would love to evaluate you if you are having any orthopedic related issue and considers it a privilege to help the great people of Indiana.
